Details of the experience:
Day 1 : Departure towards Bizerte (break at the Total highway station of Tunis - Bizerte). Arrival in Bizerte: city tour by bus (corniche, cap blanc, etc.). Life in Bizerte revolves around the old port, an ideal starting point for visiting the Medina and its Kasbah, daily vegetable, fruit and fish markets... Free time. Departure towards Tabarka via Sejnane and Nefza. A few stops en route are planned, notably at Sejnare to admire Berber pottery (possibility of purchasing cheaply). Arrival in Tabarka half-board accommodation (4* hotel).
Day 2 : The small town of Tabarka is located in a natural site of great beauty. All around, there are pine woods, rocky coves and lookouts offering panoramic views of superb landscapes. En , the old Genoese Fort proudly watches over the small seaside resort, its fishing port and its marina. Visit of the city: Genoese fort, marina, the needles. Free time. Departure to Ain Draham via Babouche (the closest village to Algeria). Ain Draham is located at the foot of Jebel EL Bir which rises to more than 1000 meters, a village recognizable by its red tiled houses. A vacation spot for many Tunisians to admire the shaded paths in the middle of the cork oak forest in summer or to see the snow that covers the mountains in winter. Stop at the youth center, local craft shops made from wood, rattan and cork (possibility of shopping). The road to the Ben Métir dam crosses the Kroumirie mountains made up of a dense forest of cork oak, pines, and shrubs; myrtle, strawberry trees, ash… Arrival at Béni Métir (named an Alsatian village because of its architecture). The main attraction is the dam built at the end of the Second World War and which provides a dual function, producing electricity (hydraulic power station) and ensuring the supply of drinking water to Tunis. Departure towards Béja . Heiress of the Roman Vaga is located in the heart of the most fertile lands of Tunisia (former granary of Rome). Arrival in Beja stop in the city center. The main artery “Bab Jnaiez” is the beating heart of the city, there is something for everyone. Opportunity to taste regional products: a few varieties of cheese, and especially the local pastry: “Zlebia and Mkharek”. Return to Hammamet via Tunis.
