Details of the experience:

Explore Tunisia in 2 days : from the Roman amphitheater of EL Jem to the magic of Matmata, via the oases and the settings of "Star Wars." A cultural and picturesque adventure from North to South.

Day 1 : 07:00: Departure from Hammamet towards EL Jem

- Arrival at EL Jem guided tour of the best preserved Roman amphitheater in North Africa. Free time.

- Continuation towards Matmata via Gabes with a relaxing stop along the way.

- Arrival in Matmata, visit to a troglodyte dwelling. Visit to the Sidi Driss hotel where some scenes from the film “Star Wars” were filmed.

- Lunch at the Diar Matmata hotel.

- Departure towards Douz via Tamezret.

- Relaxation stop and photo of the Berber village of Tamezret.

- Continue towards Douz.

- Arrival at the end of the day in Douz. possibility of taking a camel ride (optional).

- Half-board accommodation at the EL Mouradi 4* hotel.

Day 2 : Douz towards Tozeur via Chott EL Jerid.

- Stop at the salt lake, an expanse as far as the eye can see bordered by bare mountains to the north and northeast, by the Djerid to the west and by the desert to the south. Possibility of observing the mirage phenomenon during periods of extreme heat.

- Arrival in Tozeur, change into an off-road car.

- Departure to the site which was specially created for the filming of the film "Star Wars", a place that has become essential for visitors from the south.

- Photo stop at Ong Jmel: an eroded hill which looks from a distance like a camel's head.

- Continue to the mountain oases.

- Arrival at Chebika, walk in the middle of the yellow ocher mountains interspersed by the greenery of the oasis crossed by a stream which takes its source from the rocks to the north east of the village.

- Return to EL Hamma de Tozeur and change of means of transport.

- Departure to Gafsa. Lunch at the Jughurtha palace hotel.

- Continue to Kairouan with a relaxing stop along the way.

- Arrival in Kairouan, city tour and free time at the city's lively Souk. Possibility of shopping and purchasing “Makroudh”.

Return to Hammamet.
