Details of the experience:

Explore Tunisia in 3 days : from the Roman amphitheater of EL Jem to the magic of Matmata, including the oases and the settings of “Star Wars.” A cultural and picturesque adventure from North to South.

Day 1 : 07:00: Departure from Hammamet towards EL Jem

- Arrival at EL Jem: guided tour of the Roman amphitheater, the best preserved in North Africa, built at the beginning of the 3rd century AD for fights between gladiators and wild animals.

- Continuation to Sfax, the capital of the South, with a visit to the fish market and the Medina.

- Continuation of the journey towards Gabes, offering a panoramic view of the oasis of Chenini Gabes and a visit to the typical souk of Jara.

- Departure to Matmata, an unmissable troglodyte village, where you will visit the interconnected underground dwellings, having served as the setting for certain scenes from Star Wars.

- Half-board accommodation at the Diar Matmata hotel.

Day 2 : Matmata to Tozeur

- Stop at the Berber village of Tamezret for a panoramic view.

- Arrival in Douz with an optional camel or carriage ride, as well as a visit to the typical market.

- Continue to Tozeur via Chott El Jerid, the largest salt lake in the south, offering a captivating landscape.

- Arrival in Tozeur, the capital of Djerid, with the possibility of taking an optional carriage ride in the oasis.

- Half-board accommodation at the El Mouradi Tozeur hotel.

Day 3 : Tozeur to Hammamet

- Departure to "Star Wars" and Ong Jmel, a village created for the filming of the famous film.

- Continue to Chebika, Tamerza, and Mides, picturesque mountain oases, with stops to admire the scenery and take photos.

- Departure to Gafsa for lunch.

- Continuation to Kairouan with a city tour including important monuments, the mausoleum of Sidi Saheb, the Great Mosque, and the ramparts of the Medina.

Free time for shopping and discovery of local crafts, notably the famous “Makroudh”.

Return to Hammamet to end this Saharan adventure.
